Natasha Wheatley – Auroras Light Up The Vancouver Sky

On Tuesday, February 18th, Natasha Wheatley captured some stunning shots of the auroras in the Vancouver skies, a rather rare sight to see. Wheatley moved to Vancouver from the UK in 2005, following extensive travel throughout North America. Her encounter with the sheer vastness of the landscape cultivated a desire to move here and capture its images. In Vancouver, she studied photography and filmmaking, now as her photographic eye has developed she has turned her attention to night photography. Fascinated with the sky and how structures shift in the dark, Natasha utilizes light to create a sense of disembodiment.
